Comedian, Wale Gates, tackles Bishop David Oyedepo on twitter

Popular UK based Nigerian comedian, Wale Gates has called out the founder of the megachurch Faith Tabernacle and Living Faith Church, David Oyedepo, over his tweet.

Wale Gates is very controversial and critical about the government, religion, family and the society at large.

Wale Gates while responding to Oyedepo’s prayer, asked if the church will stop collecting money from patients that visit their medical hospitals.

The wealthiest pastor in Nigeria, Oyedepo tweeted,

”An end has come to spending your money on hospital bills in Jesus name!”

The fitness enthusiast, Wale, responded,

“Amen. But Winners Chapel owns and runs some Private hospitals and medical centers. Are the Gilead Medical Centers and it’s affiliates free to all now?”

The clergyman’s twitter handle is yet to respond to this question.

Oyedepo is the founder of the megachurch Faith Tabernacle and Living Faith Church Worldwide.

He is the owner of Covenant University and Landmark University and the construction of a third university named Crown University is already underway.

He also established the Faith Academy and Kingdom Heritage Model Schools.

He was named in 2011 by Forbes magazine as being the richest pastor in Nigeria. He has a net worth of over US$150 million.

He is the chairman/publisher of Dominion Publishing House (DPH), with over 4 million prints in circulation to date.

The church owns four private jets and several buildings, including in London and the US.
