Shiites group finally declared a terrorist group in Nigeria

The federal government’s request for the proscription of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria has been granted by a Federal High Court in Abuja.

According to SaharaReporters, the court gave the order that the group should be proscribed following an ex parte application by the federal government on Thursday.

Justice Nkeonye Maha issued the order in a ruling in which she also designated the activities of the Shiite organisation in any part of Nigeria “as acts of terrorism and illegality”.
